What ESD Events are Really Dangerous? |

In monitoring ESD Events it is important to distinguish between harmless discharges and the ones that truly cause damage or, at least, are approaching the damage level. For different applications the threshold of danger is different. In the disk drive industry, for instance, advent of new GMR heads created quite a concern that even a smallest discharge may permanently damage them. For the PC Board assembly the ESD Event tolerance is much higher. Our products provide you with the ability to detect and quantify ESD Events.
