Credence Technologies Receives Patent 7,118,380
October 10, 2006

Credence Technologies just received a U.S.Patent 7,118,380 This patent protects replaceable jacks in the wriststrap monitors so that when a jack fails, there is no need to unsolder the bad jack and to resolder in its place a new one -- it can be done simply by unplugging the old jack (or a board with the old jack as it is done in WS Aware) and plug a new one. This saves users time and money, improves product reliability and offers significant advantage over the competition. Our new patent helps users to significantly lower the cost of ownership by allowing them to easily replace failed jacks on site within minutes without soldering which is extremely important in the cleanrooms.
